Benjamin has been so sweet with Isaac so far. There have only been a few times when I had to really tell him to be gentler, in general, it seems like he just knows. He's been helping me with Isaac's diapers, too: he'll sit next to me and watch, and pull a diaper out of the basket to hand to me, then, if his attention is still engaged, he'll hand me wipes (okay, so sometimes it's a few too many wipes, but it's something!), then when I'm done, he'll take the dirty diaper to the trash. He loves pointing out Isaac's body parts-- I've been trying to discourage pointing at his eyes, in particular, but he also knows his head, his cheek, his nose, his chin, his arm, hand, toes, etc.

Cute little profile! (And, as you can see, his eyes are no longer oddly puffy)

So cute!! He looks so much like Benjamin, it's crazy!
I agree so much about the relaxing feeling while baby sleeps on your chest. That was my most favorite time of all with "All My Children". I really would have a hard time staying awake though, and always worried that I would drop the baby. But of course,I would wake with a start, and then doze off again. I wanted that time to go on forever!!
You are a great "young" mom, and the Doc who mentioned how you were too young to have two children is a dork!! Your answer would have been great, that you must not be too young since you HAVE two children!!! I am proud that you are my Grand Daughter-in-law, and that you are the mom of my Great Grandchildren. I am happy to be a "young" Great Grandmother!!
Love you,
Gigi
Oh, thank you, Donna, that really means a lot to me-- and I'm proud to be your granddaughter-in-law!
I'm really not usually very sensitive about age comments, I mean, I kind of expect them-- and to a point, I almost agree, in general, yeah, 19 IS very young to have two children. I think it's just kind of the sheer nosiness (I've met women well into their 40's with babies or toddlers, and I would never remark on how I thought they are "WAY too old to have two kids that age!!"), and then also feeling like I'm being pigeonholed with other teen parents who may not be exemplary models of parenthood.
Anyway, thank you. I really appreciate the compliment! :)
Like the lady I saw in the park? I swear she was in her 50's or 60's!!
